The Molines-en-Queyras ski area extends from 1750-2900 m. In the heart of Queyras Regional Park, Molines is an unspoilt village and offers winter sports based around themes of nature and authenticity. Here, downhill skiing is just one of the many ways of exploring a nature still intact. Cross-country skiing, tour-skiing, mushing and ice climbing will all bring you closer to the mountains in all their splendour. Molines-en-Queyras and St-Véran resorts are linked and the ski area has 13 button tows and 30 pistes for a total of 38 km. The cross-country area stretches over 55 km. Ski school, equipment for hire.

Inaugurated in 1937, the Route of the great Alps is the most beautiful mountain roaming: Thonon-les-Bains at Chin, from Geneva to the Mediterranean, 684 km and 16 passes among the highest in the Alpine french - six of them rising to over 2,000 metres - guide motorists, bikers, cyclists, cycling (and sometimes even... intrepid hikers!).

Local activities: Molines has an exceptional tradition of using larch wood for construction. The small resort has managed to preserve its traditional appearance and a friendly village life. On arriving you will be welcomed by St Romain Church and its unusual bell tower.
Places to visit: Walks into the surrounding hamlets allow you to discover the symbols of life as it used to be: wooden fountains, communal ovens, sundials and orchards. The Fontgillarde open air museum will give you an appreciation of the traditional heritage.

Local activities: 650 km² of open land, dotted with numerous villages, among them the most beautiful in the Alps. Trails take the visitors through larch forested trails climbing the mountains, where sheep set off the green pastures and the blue sky.
Places to visit: The Musée du Soum is situated in St Véran, the highest village in Europe. Roux lake is in Abriès, at an altitude of 2785 m. Worth visiting: the 13th century Queyras Fort, fortified in the 17th century by Vauban. In Château-Ville-Vieille the House of Arts and Crafts, showcases of Queyrassin savoir faire.
