On the other side of the scenic northern faces of La Meije is the 'sunny side' and recreational skiing. 5 km from La Grave, accessible by free shuttle bus, Chazelet, rising to 2300 m, offers recreational and family skiing. 4 button tows, 1 chair lift and red and green pistes. The Villar d'Arène snow area is the place par excellence for the family. 2 blue pistes, 1 red and a luge area. All activities start from the village.
