Description

Gîte de St-Alban "Perfumes of stars". Overlooking the Durance valley, at the gates of the Ecrins National Park, large independent gîte, in a traditional renovated house. Adjoining the home of the owners who ensure a discreet presence. Independent access. by private land and terrace. Beautiful south orientation. Ecogite environmental approach. Large living room with fitted kitchen and library area, dining area, relaxation area in separate room with the possibility of using it as a bedroom on request, stove-fireplace. On 2 floors: 4 or 5 bedrooms: 12 single beds. including 2 twin beds per room. Shower room or shower room-wc in each bedroom and wc on each landing. Gîte on 3 levels. Solar / gas heating, not included. Dishwasher, washing machine, freezer. Garden equipment, bbq, bread oven. Private car park. Terrace. Equipment room. The gîte has the "Esprit Parc National des Ecrins" brand. Possibility of an independent cook at home on request for weekend or weekly stays (see the owners for more information).

  • EMBRUN

    Local activities: Embrun and the surrounding area is situated in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes and there are many activities connected to the mountains or organised around, the small lake in Embrun or Serre-Ponçon Lake: water sports, white-water canoeing, swimming and sunbathing, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, ski touring, etc.
    Places to visit: From the park in the old town you have a magnificent view on the Durance massifs and valley. A circuit through the Old Town centre allows you to explore the riches of Embrun's heritage: the cathedral, the monastery, the brown tower and the alleys.

  • CHATEAUROUX-LES-ALPES

    Local activities: Châteauroux is situated within Les Ecrin National Park, and overlooks the Durance valley. A variety of outdoor activities are available: hiking, cycling, mountain biking, white-water canoeing and parasailing. In winter there are snowshoeing and ski touring.
    Places to visit: The district consists of 30 hamlets and has numerous curiosities: la Pisse waterfall, the rock formation "Demoiselles Coiffées" and others. With the Rabioux traversing the village it is famous for white-water sports. Among the historic sights: the 16th century St-Marcellin church, St-James chapel.

  • SERRE-PONÇON LAKE

    Local activities: The Serre-Ponçon Lake is an artificial lake created by a dam on the Durance. It is the second largest artificial lake in Europe. Sports availble: water-skiing, sky-surfing, boating and other water sports. Or take advantage of the beaches.
    Places to visit: Muséoscope du Lac: find out about the history of the construction of the Grand Morgon dam (2327 m). Numerous trails with panoramic view on the lake, the 12th century Boscodon Abby situated near Les Crots, and Embrun historic centre.
