- ACCESS TO CHAILLOL SKI AREAOverlooking the wooded mountain meadows unique in Europe, St Michel de Chaillol is a mountain village with a ski resort and, in summer, the starting point for many hiking trails. It is situated at an altitude of 1600 m and has a lot of sunshine and snow. Chaillol has all essential facilities: ski rental, restaurants, paper shop, mini- market, etc. The ski area is built on two sides of the mountain, and rises to 2000 m altitude. Snuggled at the foot of Pic de Gleize and de l'Aiguille, the smallest of the Champsaur resorts is not to be outdone. It is a very friendly and cosy little village at 1300 m altitude and has 7,5 km downhill ski slopes, 10 pistes and 6 button tows. All 3 stations are equipped with snow guns in order to ensure sufficient snow throughout the winter.
