Skiing area: Montgenèvre
Montgenèvre is the oldest ski resort, created in 1907 at an altitude of 860 m. It offers the charm and character of a mountain village with the vast international ski area la Voie Lactée, an area shared with Sestrières and San Sicaro. The resort played an important role during the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin.
Over 400 km of ski runs stretching over the French
Italian border. Montgenèvre is only 20 km from Oulx (Italy), with a TGV train station where the Paris- Milan connection stops. There is a shuttle service and a large number of après-ski amenities like the Durancia spa centre.
