- GITE ON THE FARMThe Alpes du Sud is a land of contrasts, bathed in light and sun. Over the years the inhabitants have developed their produce with Mother Nature's bounty. Farmers and breeders invite you to explore their country, share their passion for their work, follow their daily activities according to the seasons, and taste their products stemming from an agriculture allying tradition, quality and modernity. They will take the time to pass a moment with you, helping you to listen to and understand this world that they respect and maintain.
- GITE RANDO (HIKERS)The accommodation is situated near one or more marked hiking trails (PR, GR). The owner provides topographical maps (IGN) and guidebooks. He will be able to advise his guests on the itineraries and can provide a packed lunch (if you take your dinners with him).
- GITE AT THE WATERFRONTThere is no shortage of water in the Alpes du Sud with its numerous dams favourable for swimming, boating and fishing. Serre-Ponçon Lake at the confluence of Durance and Ubaye rivers, at 3000 ha, is the largest artificial lake in Europe, Embrun, le Sautet, and the many rivers and torrents: Durance, Clarée, Buëch, Guisane, Drac, Blanchem Méouge, Blaisance and Avance.
- HERITAGEThe accommodation is situated near many cultural, heritage or historic sights (museum, fortification, architectural interest, monument or special interest site). Your host, who is sensitive to and knowledgeable about the region, will be happy to provide information and brochures on the subject. Amongst the Hautes-Alpes highlights: the villages of character, the sundials, the bell towers, the mountain villages, the ancient fortifications, the museums (mine museum, ecological museum, ethnological museum, railway museum).
- ACCESS TO REALLON SKI AREAThe small resort of Réallon overlooks Serre-Ponçon Lake, at the gateway of Les Ecrins National Park. Reallon is a small modern mountain village with a welcoming atmosphere in an unspoilt setting. Its situation guarantees good snow quality. From the Aiguilles de Chabrières the ski area has artificial snow equipment so that you can ski all the way back to the resort. In Réallon all the pleasures of winter sports await you. Go snowshoeing on the crests overlooking Serre-Ponçon. Explore the Aiguilles de Chabrières on a ski tour. Réallon has 8 ski lifts covering 30 km of downhill skiing. The cross-country area has 25 km of pistes. There is a snow park, ski touring and snowshoeing.

" in Vallouise, Prapic village in the Valley of Champsaur, the Shepherd House, home of the Parc de Châteauroux-les-Alpes in the Embrunais and the Meije cable car are places not to be missed.
