He will be able to advise his guests on the itineraries and can provide a packed lunch (if you take your dinners with him).- GITE AT THE WATERFRONTThere is no shortage of water in the Alpes du Sud with its numerous dams favourable for swimming, boating and fishing. Serre-Ponçon Lake at the confluence of Durance and Ubaye rivers, at 3000 ha, is the largest artificial lake in Europe, Embrun, le Sautet, and the many rivers and torrents: Durance, Clarée, Buëch, Guisane, Drac, Blanchem Méouge, Blaisance and Avance.

- ACCESS TO ANCELLE AREAArvieux is a typical mountain village situated in a large valley. Here, traditional architecture and natural surroundings are respected. The village has a ski area at 1800-2200 m altitude. Snow guns guarantee good quality snow all winter. At the bottom the slopes are wide and gentle and ideal for beginners. In winter the small ski area of Chalp is geared to families. Cross-country skiers have 30 km of beautiful and unspoilt setting at their disposal. The ski area has 1 chair lift and 4 button tows, 12 pistes (1 black, 5 red, 5 green and 1 blue). Arvieux is a great starting point for many ski tours and snowshoe hikes.
Stay bikerAccommodation has a garage or a shelter for motorbikes, sheets and bathroom linen are provided as self catering, owner makes available a bomb of grease to the chain and information on pumps petrol and the nearest garages. Maps and tourist information are available in the accommodation and facilitate the Organization of circuits of discovery on a motorcycle from the cottage.
